With holidays, festivals and weekends fast approaching Hit Mackay & The Whitsunday’s Sam & Rach decided to hold a ‘Drive In Spray Tan’ for their Friday Show.

Listeners were encouraged to come into the live broadcast and grab a cheap $10 spray tan before work with all proceeds going to the local RACQ CQ Rescue service.

But the stakes were raised when Sam & Rach allowed listeners to give either of them an additional layer of spray tan every time someone donated $100.

The end result? Each of them ended up wearing 10 layers and Sam says he looks “…like an oompa loompa and my bed sheets are going to be a night mare after this!”

Rach was definitely unimpressed considering she has a holiday coming up, “This is insane, I’m dripping”.

Overall the breakfast show raised over $2500 for the essential emergency service and looked ridiculous in the process.
