Macquarie Radio Network Chairman, Sam Chisholm, has been admitted to the Logie Awards Hall of Fame.
Chisholm – the man behind luring Alan Jones to 2GB – has received the award from ‘Sunday’ presenter, Jana Wendt: “He’s regarded by many who have worked with him on several continents as a top guy with a swagger.
“He is a one-off, someone who is burning with ideas and inspires those around him to have some of their own.”
Chisholm underwent a double lung transplant last year, and has a genetic disorder which has affected his lungs.
He is a senior figure in the newly established David Hookes Foundation, and has urged people to become organ donors: “I’ve got a second chance at life.”
