Sam Cavanagh heading downstairs to Triple M

Hamish & Andy’s long-time EP, Sam Cavanagh, is off to Triple M

With the imminent arrival of Mick Molloy and Jane Kennedy at Triple M Drive, Sam will be taking on the Executive Producer role for the new show.

Sam has worked with the Hamish & Andy Drive show since 2006, and won the Best Show Producer at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards for a record four years in a row (between 2007 and 2010). He has also received two ARIA awards for executive producing the Hamish & Andy’s CDs, ‘Unessential Listening’ (2008) and ‘Celebrating 50 Glorious Years’ (2010).

“After 12 incredible years working with Hamish & Andy, when the boys announced their retirement from the drive slot, I was wondering what my next adventure would be. The minute I heard that Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy were teaming up for a show, I was sitting in Fitzy’s office with my hand up,’ Sam said.  “I am beyond excited to get to work with two of Australia’s funniest, and most experienced, performers. It’s going to be one hell of a ride!”

Sam, Mick and Jane will air in Melbourne only from Monday October 23 before they launch nationally across the 5 cap cities and 30+ markets from January next year. Sam will oversee the show in the lead up, head back to the Hit network to bring Hamish and Andy home with a bang, and then head downstairs to Triple M in January full time.
