Ross Stevenson hosts A Moveable Feast

3AW will launch a new one-hour program dedicated to travel and food called A Moveable Feast on Saturday, February 7 from 11.00 am until 12.00pm.

The program is the brainchild of Ross Stevenson, who will co-host the new program with Kate Stevenson (no relation). Ross Stevenson has co-hosted 3AW Breakfast for decades with partner John Burns and the team has maintained the program’s Number One position for a record 104 surveys engaging 19.3% of the Melbourne radio audience.

Kate Stevenson is a fresh new talent who has been using her alias of ‘Ela Carte’ to present restaurant reviews on the Breakfast program for the past five years. She has started co-hosting various programs at 3AW as a fill in with exceptional feedback from listeners.

The program’s name was inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s famous memoir of the same name. In the memoir, he said: “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.”

3AW weekends has traditionally been all about relaxing at home and in the garden. The new program will provide an escape, with  discussion about travel and food – as food is so intrinsically linked to travel. There will be regular segments where the audience can get involved by sharing their adventures.

3AW Acting GM Rob Curtain said: “What we have is a concept from our biggest radio talent in Ross Stevenson – so we are just extremely lucky that after a week of waking before dawn to host 3AW Breakfast, Ross is keen to focus his humorous style on talking about travel to our audience.

“Kate Stevenson has proved to really understand the 3AW audience while bringing a refreshing approach to the microphone. 3AW is excited to have a fresh, young talent to cultivate.”
