Crocmedia’s syndicated AFL broadcast AFL LIVE will again hit a huge audience this year on 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final Day, with every state in the country hearing the call.
The regionally syndicated broadcast, which has brought Australia’s biggest game to the entire country throughout the season, will hit over 200 stations when Hawthorn take on West Coast this Saturday afternoon.
The call, presented by McDonald’s, will once again be led by iconic broadcasters Rex Hunt (below left) and Peter Donegan, with expert comments provided from Billy Brownless and Terry Wallace.
This year’s grand final will be Rex Hunt’s 36th AFL Grand Final broadcast.
In addition, AFL hall of fame member Robert Walls will also feature as part of the pre-game coverage, bringing his years of experience and knowledge to the call. He will be joined in the build-up to the game by leading AFL player manager Liam Pickering, former coach Chris Connolly and award-winning Herald Sun journalist Glenn McFarlane.
Crocmedia executive director Chris Giannopoulos said it was a huge thrill to once again be able to take the broadcast of Australia’s biggest sporting event to every state in Australia.
“We are delighted that we can produce a fully national and regionally flavoured call so that regional Australia can get its own call of the big game,” Giannopoulos said.
The broadcast will be heard across regional Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory across several networks, including the ACE and Grant networks.
The Super Radio Network and Grant Network will take the call throughout New South Wales and Queensland, while RED FM in Western Australia will carry the call across WA.
“Supporting the AFL’s push into the rugby-dominated northern markets is something we’re genuinely passionate about, and with the help of McDonald’s this year, who have helped partner us throughout NSW and QLD, we’ve been able to take the call to more than 60 different frequencies throughout the region, working closely with the AFL right across the country,” Giannopoulos said.
