While the spotlight has, rightly, been on the spate of domestic violence attacks on the Gold Coast recently, including the fatal attack on Gold Coast woman Tara Brown and the horror shooting at McDonalds Helensvale, many may have overloooked the effect these violent events have had on staff at the fast food restaurant.

To support McDonalds staff, Rebel 99.4 FM’s Breakfast crew Ash & Dave paid a surprise visit to their local McDonald’s at Helensvale this morning.  The boys arranged tickets for the staff of McDonalds to take some time out to visit the Moscow Circus on the Gold Coast.

Customer relations manager at McDonalds, Michelle Rigby (pictured with Ash Palmero from Rebel FM), said the staff have all pulled together and with counseling are working hard to move forward.     

“The local community has been amazing with offers of support and we are all really thankful to the Rebel, to Ash and Dave and Moscow Circus for oranising the passes and thinking of our staff here,” she said.
