Rebel FM introduces unsigned new music program

It is a new age of technology, social interaction , convergence and of the Unsigned Artist.  Never before has it been easier to record your music made and have it heard. With so much new music being delivered some of the potentially great artists can get lost in the ether of what a rock band “should” sound like .. But not anymore, promises the Rebel Network.

The Rebel Radio Network has introduced Rebel Unsigned, which debuts tomorrow night, hosted by Dave Holleran.

It will showcase the best new artists from here in Australia and around the world. Rebel Unsigned has already introduced Sunset Riot to Australian audiences and with the boys from the Hunter starting to make waves in America, the show has already played a part in the emergence of a new Unsigned Artist.

Rebel Unsigned host Dave-O has told radioinfo: “There are so many initiatives around now for new music, but none really showcasing Hard Rock!! If you’re in an indie pop band or making music that Coldplay would like you might get a shot on Aussie radio but if you’re in a good hard rocking band programmers don’t want to hear about it! Excuse my insolence but Soundwave sells out consistently as did AC/DC and Metallica…& The Biggest selling acts in the charts each year are heavy metal bands!! People still want to hear heavy music.”

Over an initial four week period Dave-O will showcase four up and coming bands once weekly and delve into the trials and tribulations of an Unsigned Artist.

Artists wanting airplay should upload their music to facebook.com/rebelunsigned and get ready to be a part of the Rebel-ution!
