Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, a private international broadcasting company, funded by a grant from the US Congress, is transmitting “Radio Free Afghanistan” from its studios in Prague using DigaSystem software.
Since January 30 last year the Afghan population has received a daily program produced in their two main national languages, using the software from Munich-based manufacturer D.A.V.I.D.
The RFE/RL Broadcasting Centre in Prague is equipping 45 studios and 250 audio workstations with the newest DigaSystem software for both production and on-air applications. On completion of the project, 24 language services broadcasting in 32 languages will produce more than 1000 hours of programming a week using the DigaSystem.
