Commercial radio ad revenue recorded an increase across all markets in December to post growth of 1.84% to $53.977 million, bringing the total revenue for the last six months of 2013 up 2.82% to $355.687 million, according to the 2013 Metropolitan Commercial Radio Advertising Revenue, as sourced by Deloitte:
- Perth recorded the greatest revenue rise in December over the other markets with an increase of 3.71% to $8.003 million on the previous year
- Brisbane’s growth continued up 3.02% to $8.607 million
- Sydney grew 2.29% to $15.884 million
- Melbourne was up .46% to $16.447 and after two months of contraction
- Adelaide grew 18% to $5.036 million
The last six months of 2013 resulted in:
- Melbourne revenue up 4.19% to $108.802 million
- Perth has grown 4.01% to $49.778 million
- Sydney is up 2.64% to $109.708 million
- Brisbane climbed 2.12% to $55.419 million
- Adelaide was slightly down for the six month total by 1.60% to $31.980.
The Deloitte figures report actual revenue received by metropolitan commercial radio stations in the five markets for the calendar month and include all metropolitan agency and direct revenue.
