Put down your lobster, Hamish & Andy are back

With their new podcast coming March 1, Hamish & Andy are looking to the future and making some big changes.

Hamish & Andy’s familiar radio drive program will now be a weekly podcast.

But that’s not all. There’s lobster, a new logo, bold tracksuits … and segways in the launch video for the sweeping changes coming to Hamish and Andy in 2018.

The comedy pair left their long-standing afternoon slot in 2017 to pursue other projects, but will be creating original content for SCA’s podcast platform PodcastOne for 2018/2019.

Hamish & Andy’s fans will be able to hear them whenever and wherever they want in Australia with the boys set to produce two series of 40 podcasts over the next two years. They will also be available in the USA via PodcastOne US.

With more than a quarter of a billion downloads from their Hit Network radio show podcast, the boys are set to put the podcasting world into a spin with their original content.

“We’re confident that if we play our cards right this year we can get that to a quarter of a billion and one,” said Hamish & Andy

PodcastOne Australia’s Grant Tothill has told radioinfo:

“We’re excited and delighted that Hamish & Andy have joined PodcastOne. Fans will be able to continue to get the Hamish & Andy podcast they’ve loved so much over many years. With their podcast series also being published in the USA on PodcastOne and available on both PodcastOne and Hamish & Andy apps in Australia together with iTunes, we are confident Hamish & Andy will continue to grow their audience not only in Australia but also internationally.”

PodcastOne is “reinvigorating the art of compelling storytelling by creating and commissioning original long-form content across multiple genres including; Sports and Recreation, Society and Culture, Health and Wellbeing and Business and Tech.”

Hamish & Andy will be joining a stable of other Australian podcasts available on PodcastOne including, The Howie Games, Rosie Waterland’s My Mum Says My Memoir is a Lie, The Mentorwith Mark Bouris, and A Plate to Call Home with Gary Mehigan.

The Hamish & Andy Podcast is available from this Thursday, March 1 at www.podcastone.com.au or the PodcastOne app.
