In the style of a true crime thriller, Liam Stapleton is taken away, questioned by police and sent to jail after protests get ugly outside the ABC studios.

triple j’s Liam, along with brother in crime Ben, are the lead actors in this year’s marketing video to promote voting in the Hottest 100.

And there’s cameos from ABC and commercial tv news presenters and a heap of musicians.

The ‘true crime’ doco Making the Shortlist has already had thousands of views on facebook and is promoting voting in the annual Hottest 100 countdown, which will take place in January next year. Don’t be like Liam, remember to vote… voting is still open, as Liam discovers at the end of the video.
