Program Director David Kidd exits Sydney’s 2GB

When we contacted the station for a comment we were told that it was “an internal matter” and no further comment would be issued.

Kidd has been with the station for just over three years.

It is rumoured that a potential merger between Macquarie Radio and Fairfax Radio is being discussed, although it isn’t known whether this may have contributed to the decision.

The Australian spoke with Macquarie Radio Network executive chairman Russell Tate, who refused to give details, saying, “Redundancy is a redundancy. It’s an internal matter that I won’t be commenting on.”

Kidd was previously Assistant Group Program Director at ARN, as well as Group Research Director.  He later moved to DMG before making the move to Sydney’s 2GB.
