One third of US households will have a smart speaker this year

In their latest estimates, Loupventures research team has updated their estimates for smart speaker ownership in the US, predicting that one-third of households will own one by the end of 2019.

 
The investment firm also expects Google Home to continue to gain market share, and have predicted that by 2025 Alexa will relinquish its lead.

LOUPVENTURES has also added China into its modelling and predict it will account for 25 million units by the end of this year, which is a y/y growth of around 200%.
 
The latest Nielsen Audio Report also highlights the growth in smart speaker ownership, especially in major cities like New York.
