One #ACRAs2017 winner phoned it in

The ACRAs is an important night for radio people.

It’s about celebrating your successes and experiencing the energy in the Australian radio industry.

There are wins for the sake of wins, victories over your competitors, and there are heart warming moments that remind you of the deeper significance of the work we do.

Some of those heart warming moments were Amanda Keller’s stories of how radio has touched the hearts of her listeners and saved a few lives, and Tanya Hennessy’s documentary about a boy dying of cancer.

One of the most touching moments was Shannon Vamvoukis‘ award for Best Direct salesperson at C91.3 Campbelltown.

Shannon’s wife is expecting to have a baby any time in the next few days. Understandably, he could not be at the awards.

So he phoned it in. He was live on facetime as the award was announced.

Stay tuned for news of the birth
