Nova’s bids to help sick kids will aid Telethon

Nova 106.9 has launched their second Nova’s Bids to Help Sick Kids, a silent auction to raise funds for children in need for the 2019 Nine Telethon with a live broadcast from the Qld Children’s Hospital.

As the exclusive radio partner of the event and a major fundraising driver for the campaign, Nova’s silent auction items include a Hyundai Kona Active and much more, with bidding for a range of generous prizes closing at 4pm on Friday 15 November 2019.

All proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation by Nova’s Ash, Kip, Luttsy and Susie, on the night of the 2019 Nine Telethon, Saturday, November 16.

Nine Queensland Managing Director, Kylie Blucher, says, “Nova’s Bids to Help Sick Kids is a fantastic initiative to raise funds for such an important cause. We are thrilled to partner again with Nova and the Children’s Hospital Foundation to strengthen donations for the 2019 Nine Queensland Telethon.”

Nova Brisbane’s Program Director, Jay Walkerden, says, “It’s a humbling and inspiring opportunity to be involved in this community event which benefits Queensland families facing some pretty tough challenges, our Children’s Hospital, and the incredible people who work there.

“We’re looking forward to playing our part in helping Nine to raise as much money as possible for the Children’s Hospital Foundation and supporting Queensland families when they need it most.”

Children’s Hospital Foundation Queensland CEO, Rosie Simpson, says, “We’re thrilled to partner with Nova 106.9 again in 2019 for the second Nova’s Bids to Help Sick Kids. It’s the support of partners like Nova that allows us to keep working wonders for Queensland’s sickest kids and their families.”
