Nova Perth goes to the dogs

It was a special day at Nova 93.7 this morning – after years of staff begging Managing Director, Gary Roberts, to allow employees to bring their dogs to work – he agreed! Only, however, because the office carpets are being replaced next week.

Breakfast Announcer Natalie Locke brought in her much photographed Bearded Collie, Lewis, who is often the star of her Tweets and Instagram posts.

Co-host Shaun McManus brought along Rex, the German Shepherd, who being an outside dog lapped up the attention. He also proved to be the best behaved member of the McManus family.

Feeling a tad left out, Nathan decided to make his own cross breed puppy out of a Fat Cat doll and a wolf mask. He was aptly named Pusswolf.

Nathan, Nat and Shaun had their furry friends with them in the studio while they broadcast their show, with Perth Wildcat, Greg Hire, and his 40kg Labrador puppy, Buddy, making a guest appearance.

Unfortunately Buddy (dressed in a Wildcats jersey of course) had a not so little accident outside the studio door, creating quite a stink in the corridor.

“Every day should be doggy day. Lewis has done a couple of proposals and is whipping up a client presentation as we speak” said Natalie amongst the commotion.

According to Shaun “today has been the best day for all of us… a chance to show off our dogs”.

Even Gary brought his beloved rescue dog, Honey, who was top dog for the day with prime position on the boss’s chair!
