Nova denies Kyle and Jackie poaching attempt

Sydney’s Nova 96.9 FM has denied trying to poach 2Day FM’s Drive duo, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.

A report by Sue Javes in The Sydney Morning Herald’s The Guide quotes Sandilands as saying Nova made a play for the pair back in December, but Nova’s Program Director, Scott Muller, has denied any such approach.

Kyle and Jackie O have successfully made the move to drivetime, after a long stint dominating evening radio, when they hosted the ‘Hot 30’.

In the latest Sydney ratings, the new drive program substantially increased audience share and the new Hot 30 hosts, Lab Rat and Alexis Savaidis, are holding steady in the evening slot.
