No more pyjamas for Sports Breakfast team: radio show now on TV

Sky Sports Radio’s popular Big Sports Breakfast program is about to debut on television.

From Monday, Sky will launch Big Sports Breakfast TV, a game-changer for TV and digital savvy sports fans around Australia.

In what is believed to be an Australian first, the popular radio program, will be simulcast on Sky Racing1 (Channel 519 on FOXTEL), streamed online at skyracing.tv and available on Apple and Android devices by downloading the Sky Racing and TAB apps.

Big Sports Breakfast TV will be the only breakfast television program in Australia that is dedicated to sports and racing.

Big Sports Breakfast is broadcast each weekday from 5:30am to 9am on Sky Sports Radio and is hosted by Michael Slater and Terry Kennedy. The show serves sports lovers a fast-moving feast of interviews, progress scores and sports results. It’s complemented by guest experts and talkback, which gives listeners the chance to express their sporting opinions.

“Big Sports Breakfast TV will provide an ‘outside-in’ experience for the viewer. We’ll be taking the viewers deep into the Big Sports Breakfast studio to reveal how we broadcast,” said co-host Terry Kennedy.

“We may not look at our best at 5.30am, but we will give viewers the best start to the day with all the latest sports news and updates. TK will have to get out of his pyjamas now that the cameras are rolling,” said Michael Slater.

Big Sports Breakfast TV will use state-of-the-art technology for the display of social media updates and up-to-the minute data of sports events and results from around the globe. It premieres on Sky Racing1 next Monday March 10.
