Next generation of radio makers get inspired by SCA visit

First year Charles Sturt radio students

On Monday March 14th, first-year students enrolled in Charles Sturt University’s Bachelor of Communication (Radio) degree, which is sponsored by CRA, visited Southern Cross Austereo.

Included in the tour of the station, the students received short presentations from SCA team members covering sales and integration, content development including audio and video distributed  through multiforms, and the scope and work roles within the organisation. The students also visited Bathurst Broadcaster to gain a regional perspective of commercial radio.

This is the largest cohort to enrol in the degree reflecting the strong  interest in  a radio career. The Bachelor of Communication (Radio) also celebrates 10 years of course presentation with over 200 graduates, many of whom are employed through member stations  of CRA.
