LightDigital, Melbourne’s new Digital Christian radio station has arrived. This morning a number of Melbourne’s pastors, teachers and speakers gatheredfor the launch of LightDigital; Melbourne’s Digital Christian radio station.
The station launched at 8:10am with a spectacular sound and light show.
89.9 LightFM General Manager Graham Hasler has told radioinfo: “We are extremely privileged to be able to launch this Digital station across Melbourne. It has a real community connection with a lot of the content coming from Melbourne pastors and performers so it’s truly a local community station.”
LightDigital is the home to Australia’s best Christian music and overseas artists and will also feature the best of Australian and international Christian teaching. The station aims to be “a strong voice of God in Melbourne to encourage, uplift and inspire.”
It takes its new service from Australian Independent Radio News (AIR News). The news feed commenced with the radio station launch. AIR News MD Arthur Stevens said: “We are proud to be associated with this high quality broadcast outlet, and look forward to a long relationship.”
Light FM sounds very commercial for a community radio station. It's good that it has digital radio spectrum & i hope other community radio stations in Melbourne can convert from analogue to digital sometime soon.
