New radio show a training ground for Indigenous broadcasters

RTRFM has launched a brand new program, Moorditj Mag

Running from 11am – 12pm each Thursday, Moorditj Mag is a weekly look at Indigenous Affairs both nationally and locally with Jim Morrison and Wayne Bynder (both pictured).

Jim Morrison is the Head of Yokai, an Aboriginal support and advocacy group.

Wayne Bynder is the former General Manager of Noongar Radio in Mt Lawley.

Moorditj Mag will provide a wider audience the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of Indigenous issues and culture.

Aligning with RTRFM’s core values of inclusiveness, understanding and an alternative to mainstream media, Moorditj Mag is “an exciting and vital addition to RTRFM’s programming lineup”.

Moorditj Mag will also be used as a training ground for new Indigenous broadcasters, giving them first-hand knowledge and experience in producing, researching and presenting their own one-hour radio program.

Moorditj Mag is supported by The Community Broadcasting Foundation.
