New PPCA music licensing agreement for CBAA members

The CBAA has finalised a new PPCA music licensing agreement for CBAA members.

In addition to existing rights to broadcast sound recordings, the new licence includes an option for a simulcast licence if your station also streams its broadcasts online. The formatting of the PPCA licence has also been updated and modernised.

The CBAA member benefit regarding PPCA licensing continues under this new agreement, ensuring that CBAA members are provided with a lower rate for licence fees in comparison to a community radio broadcaster that isn’t a CBAA member.

All stations will need to transition to the new licence by firstly terminating their existing PPCA licence. And then Submitting a new PPCA licence by the deadline, Friday, 9 October 2015.
