New drive shift for 90.9 Sea FM Gold Coast

90.9 Sea FM has announced a replacement for The Benchwarmers who have moved to Nova Brisbane. Ant and Beck’s have been named as the team to take over the ‘bench’ in the station’s Gold Coast drive shift.

The pair were previously at 97.9 Star FM Gippsland.

Sea FM Gold Coast is fast becoming known as a breeding ground for the ‘next big things’ on Australian radio, and 2007 is shaping up to be no different as 90.9 Sea FM takes more chances on young growing talent.

In addition to the change in afternoons, nights for the Gold Coast has also been freshened up with presenter Renee Peterson getting a new co-host named Matty Acton.

Group PD Jason Matthews has told radioinfo the pair will take The List with Matty and Renee to “a whole new level of what’s hot and fresh here and overseas” with their interactive and enthusiastic radio style, counting down the hottest songs in the country.

Matthews says the pair are “not only a buzz on-air, but a breath of fresh air through the Gold Coast We’re in such a great position here being encouraged to continually find, cultivate and launch such great new talent.

“We have the opportunities available for people who work very hard and have the talent to succeed in the radio industry…Ant, Becks and Matty are the perfect example of that and we can’t wait for the Gold Coast to hear what we’ve experience from them already. ”
