New Content Director for ABC Radio Melbourne

Shelley Hadfield has been appointed Content Director for ABC Radio Melbourne.
 
Shelley comes off the back of a 25-year career at News Corp, including 20 years at the Herald Sun newspaper, where she held many roles including Deputy Chief of Staff, Opinions Editor and Weekend Liftout Editor.
 
She has an extensive track record leading large teams and content planning across multiple platforms, including digital and social.
 
Shelley led the Herald Sun’s coverage of major stories including the New Year’s bushfire crisis and the Christchurch massacre, and as a police rounds reporter, she broke big stories on the Mornington Monster, the murder of Maria Korp and the kidnapping of baby Montana.
 
 
Shelley starts in the role on August 3.
