Former NRL player (now Titans Footy manager) Anthony Laffranchi is making a return to radio, joining Scott Mayman for Breakfast on Radio 97 / FM104.1 Gold Coast.
“It’s great to be back on radio and on the air in my old hometown of Murwillumbah” Anthony said. “I want to give the listeners an insight into what happens behind the scenes in footy – something they won’t read about in the paper or see in the TV news”.
Breakfast host Scott Mayman has welcomed Anthony to the show. “He’s no stranger to radio. I used to interview him years ago when I worked at other stations, so we already know how to bounce off each other. It’s going to be a very natural fit”.
Anthony said ” I used to listen to Radio 97 in my younger days and I vividly remember being late for school when the birthday segment was featured. Now, I’m part of that breakfast show and it’s all very surreal”.
In a segment called “Laffranchi’s Locker-room” Anthony will provide commentary on the events shaping rugby league as well as his tips for the round, each Thursday morning on Radio 97 – FM104.1 Gold Coast.
