Neil Mitchell joins Joy Radiothon

3AW presenter and long time ally of Joy 94.9, Neil Mitchell is joining Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle and Dolly Diamond on air as part of Joy’s Radiothon to raise funds for the station.
 
The Radiothon is themed Re:member Joy and involves 8 days of special programming where Joy takes a look back at its past, ahead into its future and all the people that have influenced it along the way.
 
Mitchell will appear on the Dolly and Doyle show on Friday 29th May from 3pm.
 
Joy 94.9 General Manager Conrad Browne said, “ Each year, Joy’s Radiothon serves as a reminder to the community about the importance of having such an amazing resource serve as the voice for our incredibly diverse communities.
 
It’s through the support of our members, donors and listeners that the station can continue to do this, thanks to the incredible energy and enthusiasm of our 250+ volunteers.”
 
All funds raised are vital to Joy which is the first and only LGBTIQ community radio station in Australia and everyone who signs up goes into the draw to win a Smart Car Fortwo.
 
The Radiothon runs from Friday 29th May until June 5th.
