Gary Adshead will take over mornings

One of Western Australia’s most decorated and fearless journalists, Gary Adshead, will be joining Perth’s 6PR as the new Morning Program presenter.

Paul Murray will continue at the station presenting Drive in 2014.

6PR General Manager Martin Boylen said he felt Gary had the right combination of credibility and experience for the challenging Morning shift. “Gary’s varied background in TV, radio and newspapers, gives him a massive head start when it comes to dealing with the issues and personalities that make news in Perth. I am confident he’ll make a real impact when he starts on-air”.

Mr Boylen added, “Paul indicated to us some time ago he’d prefer a change of shift for lifestyle reasons and we were very happy for him to continue as part of the team.”

A 6PR spokesperson siad that the staion will soon announce further line-up details for 2014.
