Mike Carlton has never been one to shy away from controversy and now he’s about to open up in a new book.
Outspoken throughout his radio and TV career, Carlton will launch his no holds barred story in his latest book On Air.
Publisher, Penguin Books, says On Air has been written with the Carlton’s characteristic humour and flair.
The book is all about the feuds and the friendships, the fun and the follies and the extraordinary parade of characters and events he has encountered in over 50 years in the media.
Carton’s radio career included stints at Mix 106.5, 702 ABC Sydney and 2UE
His other books have been three best sellers on Australian Naval history.
Mike Carlton's stints also included 2GB in the late 1970s. He was promoted with Mike Gibson (RIP) as "In the know radio....Mike-to-Mike...back-to-back...cheek-to-cheek...." it also included taking 2GB to the top of the ratings when it launched as a "News Talk" format in 1982.
