Radio funny blokes and late-night television hosts Merrick and Rosso are dusting off the couch and
popping the cushion covers in the wash as they prepare for another season of Merrick and Rosso Unplanned, which returns to Channel Nine at 10.30pm Wednesday March 3.

If you missed the show last year, here’s the lowdown on what happens:

a) Merrick and Rosso sit on a couch in front of a studio audience

b) The studio audience ask them questions

c) Merrick and Rosso answer the questions (while at the same time trying to be funny)

As well as doing that again, other stuff lined up for this year’s series includes Merrick and Rosso
being joined by celebrity mates in their closing sketch – which means Merrick gets to wear wigs.
Rosso says he wants to break whitegoods on national television.

It’s “shameless fun, intimate and chocka-block full of
jokes (and fake hair).”

Nine Network Director of Entertainment, Hilary Innes thinks Merrick and
Rosso are “a breath of fresh air and I can’t wait to see them back.”

Tim Ross and Merrick Watts started working together in 1996 and have become one of the most
popular live comedy acts in Australia as well as a successful radio team, initially on Triple J
and then on Nova 96.9.

Tim Ross says: “It’s great being back at Nine, putting me one year closer to my ambition to host
Sunday.”
