Meet K Rock’s new breaky team

K-ROCK’s brand new breakfast show has successfully ticked off the first two steps to becoming a radio breakfast program, with Geelong born-and-bred Buckle & Hunter already making listeners feel right at home when they listen to K-ROCK weekdays from 6am.

Buckle wasn’t messing around when he took over the hot seat in the breakfast chair, immediately taking to defacing the building and, with a little help, managing to make sure everybody knew he was the new face on the breakfast show.

Hitting it hard with step three Buckle and Hunter have now taken to the streets, inviting listeners to name the new show.

After being flooded with ideas including ‘Breakfast Buffet’, ‘Morning Workout’ and ‘The Bunker Crew’ , K-ROCK boss ‘Mr. Shiny-Pants’ (Andy Mathers) in the big office has given the guys until Friday 3rd July to find a new name!

Genuinely great mates, the pair share a passion for fitness, food, pets and a couple of beers at the local.

Josh Buckle has been a member of the K-ROCK team for the last few years. Abandoning his tradie life, Buckle hassled K-ROCK until we let him through the doors. Now he’s gone from spending Sunday mornings handing out icy-cold Ice Break coffee with the Promotions Team, to taking over our airwaves.

The former brickie says his mantra is ‘hard work and sacrifice can make up for a complete lack of radio skill and talent.’

Buckle will captain the breakfast show alongside his colleague and friend, Hunter McLeod.

Hunter has been the female voice of K-ROCK breakfast for the past year and brings more than 10 years of cap city radio knowledge to the table.
