Mediaworks appoints chief commercial officer

MediaWorks has appointed Glen Kyne as the group’s Chief Commercial Officer, formalising his current position as Acting CCO.

In this role, Glen will manage the commercial operations across the MediaWorks Television Radio and Digital platforms and brands, including pricing, inventory, a nationwide customer engagement program, and revenue
management.

Glen will oversee a 160-strong team of sales, integration, and sales engagement staff, including MediaWorks’ Integration division.

MediaWorks Group CEO, Michael Anderson, said: “We are thrilled to have Glen move into the CCO role. He brings a wealth of experience from both within MediaWorks and externally across a wide range of commercial projects and operations. I have no doubt he’ll continue his outstanding work and I am looking forward to working closely with him to further strengthen our position in the market.”

Glen said: “I’m very excited to accept this role. We have an amazing asset base at MediaWorks and a highly respected team. I look forward to further developing both, and helping deliver outstanding results for our customers.”

Glen has more than 20 years of sales and management experience, the last six in the New Zealand media industry, with roles including MediaWorks’ Chief New Ventures Officer, MediaWorks’ Head of Integration and Head of
Integration at The Radio Network. Prior to this appointment, as MediaWorks’ Chief New Ventures Officer, he oversaw a number of notable commercial developments including MediaWorks TEG Live and 3NOW.
Before joining the media industry, he held a variety of executive and general manager roles across a range of sectors, including General Manager, Sales at SingTel Optus SMB and Chief Operating Officer at Sagacious Procurement.

Glen’s appointment is effective immediately.
