Australian Bachelor and media personality Matty J has fallen head over heels for a role at Nova 96.9, announcing he will join Matt De Groot and Sarah McGilvray, as a host on Nova’s Summer Breakfast with Matt, Sarah and Matty J, from Monday 10 December at 6am.
 
Matt and Sarah from the Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show, will join Matty J as part of Nova Sydney’s summer line up, delivering local, topical and entertainment news, whilst the team discover more about the real Matty J.
 
As the  leading man in the fifth season of The Bachelor Australia, where he found the girl of his dreams, Laura Byrne, Matty has filled in for Dr Chris Brown as travel host on The Living Room, which saw him nominated for Most Popular New Talent at the 2018 TV Week Logie Awards, and has appeared as a guest host on Studio 10 and Have You Been Paying Attention?
 
After gaining radio experience with regular interviews during his stint on reality TV, Matty filled in for a week on Gold Coast’s Sea FM breakfast radio show this year.
 
Nova’s Summer Breakfast with Matt, Sarah and Matty J will be his first metro breakfast role. 
 
Matty J says, “For me, Fitzy & Wippa stand at the pinnacle of the radio industry so to be asked to fill in from them over summer is such a huge honour. I couldn’t be happier to work with a station I’ve grown up listening to and alongside two absolute legends, Matt and Sarah. This is such a ‘pinch myself’ moment – if you told me 12 months ago I’d be doing this, I’d have said you were crazy!”
