With ten years behind the breakfast microphones on The Fox, Melbourne’s Matt & Jo Show has spoken to countless listeners and fans from around the city
And a few weeks ago, that’s exactly what the team decided to do.
They engaged auditors behind the scenes and soon realised the Matt & Jo Show were on the verge of a milestone – one million interactions with listeners from around the city.
Every day the show receives hundreds of emails and calls, as well as comments and messages via social media.
As a thank you for everything Melbourne has shared, the team has pulled together an extravagant thank you hamper.
As the team counted down towards the milestone, offers were flooding in from around Melbourne, with some more prizes to add to the hamper for the lucky millionth listener.
This morning at 8.29am The Matt & Jo Show took a call from Jamie, a single mother from Melbourne’s south east, who, in her very first call to the show, officially became the one millionth listener!
Jamie won a brand new Kia Cerato S sedan and a holiday to Vietnam, a $7,500 diamond ring, a stack of concert tickets – complete with limo transfers, shopping sprees at Myer and Harvey Norman, Village Gold Class vouchers, a personal tour through The Block apartments with Scott Cam, as well as a year’s supply of pies and one million millilitres of Slurpee from 7/11! (That’s around six Slurpees per day for the entire year)
