The 12 month trip will see them discover places in NSW, VIC, SA, NT and WA. This will be Hamel’s second trip around OZ having done his first great expedition in 2004.

He  is being replaced as Content Director of Hitz 939 and 4BU by well-known Queensland radio all-rounder Michael Price. Michael has spent 23 years in Brisbane radio with Triple M, B105, 4BC, 4BH. Michael also has a young family and feels like it is “coming home”.

“My wife Nikki is from Bundaberg and in fact worked with Mark at 4BU many years ago” said Michael. “I’m very excited to be working with the wonderful team at Bundaberg’s’ original radio station 4BU and our heritage FM station Hitz 93.9. I also can’t wait to see my young family enjoy the benefits of living in the lifestyle capital of Queensland.”
