Nova 100’s Kate Langbroek and News Journalist/fashionista Lauren Brain headed off this morning with 10 listeners for Katie’s Tag Poppin Tour.  They hit some of Melbourne’s best op shops for a VIP experience with the second hand queen, Kate Langbroek, and later took in an exclusive Nova Red Room performance with Macklemore and Lewis.

Inspired by Macklemore’s anthem to hitting the second hand shops, Kate invited Melbourne’s stylish and resourceful ladies, who hunt for recycled fashion gold, to submit their favourite op-shop to enter the competition.

The girls were chauffeured around in a limousine to hit the op shops, before enjoying a champagne lunch at Circa in St Kilda and VIP access to Nova’s Red Room with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis this afternoon.

Hosted by Nova 100’s Dan Anstey, the critically acclaimed Seattle based hip hop group performed an intimate gig at The Cullen hotel in Prahran to the VIP Op Shoppers and other Nova listeners and clients. 

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have gained world-wide attention with the success of Thrift Shop, the first single from their new album The Heist. 

Their new single Same Love has cemented their reputation, with fans in Australia and around the world embracing the lyrics that deal with homophobia and prejudice in culture, mass media and society.
