John Deeks will replace Bona on the mid-dawn shift.

More details of 2UE and 2GB lineup changes are expected to be revealed soon.

Bona announced the change to his listeners on tonights program, and wrote on the show’s facebook page:

Hello my Overnight family!!

It is with a sad heart I have to tell you all that tonight/Friday morning will be my last Australia Overnight “show !

Some of may have realized that there have been lots of changes to the Macquarie Radio Network and I have been offered an exciting part of those changes.

As of Monday I will be presenting 2UE Sydney’s morning program 9am to 1pm and the wonderful John Deeks will be taking hold of the Overnight reigns from Monday at midnight!! You are all in very safe hands!!

I will miss you all, but you can still tune in to me on line on 2UE.com or with your radio app!

Boy oh boy…haven’t we had some times hey???

I should make it clear that I will only be presenting Mornings on 2UE untill they finalize the new line up

Listeners expressed their surprise about the move on air and on facebook and also asked about Bocking, Deeks and what Bona was doing after his time on mornings. Those questions are as yet unanswered, as 2UE prepares to freshen up its format in a mid year overhaul.
