Linda Bracken appointed Manager Triple J

Linda Bracken has been appointed as the Manager of Triple J. Bracken is an experienced ABC broadcaster/producer/programmer who has been acting in the position for some time.

The announcement was made last Friday by Sue Howard – Director of ABC Radio.

Linda Bracken first joined the ABC in 1989. During her 14 years with the National Broadcaster her roles have been quite diverse, including working for Local Radio as a producer/reporter, and Program Director of 1233 ABC Newcastle from 1997 to 2002. She is also an accredited ABC National Specialist Radio Trainer.

In April 2002, Linda became Acting Triple J Manager – and together with the
newly appointed Head of National Music Networks, Kate Dundas, revamped the National Youth Networks’ line-up and sound for 2003.

Bracken told radioinfo: “Triple J has a strong obligation to support both new Australian music and new Australian radio talent, and I am committed to these objectives.”
