Kym Dillon to front Mix Adelaide’s new breakfast show

One of Adelaide’s top sports commentators, Kym Dillon, will join MIX102.3 as part of its new breakfast line-up, which will begin next week.

The high profile TV host will spearhead the newly formatted 6am to 9am breakfast session, and will be joined on air by Ali Carle and Chris Dzelde.

Dillion is “excited, challenged and terrified” by his move into radio.

The move follows the success he has generated as Nine News sports presenter and football commentator, plus the success of Nine’s high-rating show “Postcards”.

MIX102.3’s Program Director Allan Cameron told radioinfo Kym, Ali and Dzelde will offer
Adelaide “a refreshing alternative in breakfast radio.”

“It’s a grown-up’s breakfast. We’ve created a show that is lots of fun, and packed full of entertainment, music, giveaways and guests. Kym, Ali and Dzelde will be focussed on Adelaide and our listeners, not themselves.”

Cameron says he is confident the show’s style and format will prove popular in Adelaide.

As a sportsman, Kym Dillon played football at the top level in Adelaide, before injury forced him to the sidelines and in front of the camera.

Ali Carle gained recognition as part of Foxtel’s
Living With combination. She has a degree in journalism, is engaged to Crow’s ruckman Matthew Clarke and “brings a touch of sanity to the show.”

Chris Dzelde has a strong history with radio and over the past decade has been on air in Melbourne and most recently at Triple M as top-rating morning announcer. Growing up, all he wanted to do was play lead guitar with KISS. Unfortunately, the make-up left a rash and he was forced to settle for his second career choice: radio DJ.

Kym, Ali and Dzelde will hit the Adelaide airwaves on Monday, August 25 on MIX102.3.
