Kyle & Jackie O take a jab at 2DayFM rivals

Only three days back on air, and the KIIS FM duo have already mocked the station they departed in 2013.

The pair have a history of baiting their radio rivals and other media figures, and so this morning they were playing a game called ‘Five in 10’ in which a caller is given a category, and then must name five things in that category within 10 seconds.

The first category of the morning was savage.

“In 10 seconds, name five breakfast shows that have been on 2DayFM since we’ve left,” Jackie O said, with Kyle laughing audibly.

“I don’t even listen to 2DayFM,” the caller said. “I only listen to you guys, I have no idea … I’m a KIIS girl.”

“Oh gees, I feel like just giving you the prize for that alone,” Jackie O replied.

“I’m down,” Kyle said.

“I’m down too,” Jackie O added and the caller was awarded a prize.

“The fact that she didn’t even know one … it’s all yours,” Jackie said.

2DayFM has seen several names come and go from the breakfast slot since Kyle & Jackie O’s departure, including Merick Watts, Jules Lund, Mel B, Sophie Monk, Dan Debuf and Maz Compton.

Rove McManus and Sam Frost followed, and in 2017 Em Rusciano and Harley Breen hosted the slot.

Breen announced he was leaving 2Day at the end of 2017, with Ed Kavalee and Grant Denyer joining Rusciano in 2018.

Kyle & Jackie O are on top of the breakfast slot with an audience share of 12.1%, ahead of WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda with 10%.
