KIIS 101.1’s Jase & PJ help listeners find love this Valentine’s Day

… on a specially built human sushi train.

As if speed dating wasn’t awkward enough, the dating experiment saw 40 listeners jump aboard the KIIS 101.1’s Singles Sushi Train, which was set up at a warehouse in North Melbourne.

Lining the train tracks were dozens of tables of people who could stop the train every three minutes when they wanted to take their pick of the ‘delicious’ singles that were on for the ride.

Acting as the train conductor, host Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins filled the carriages, while Polly ‘PJ’ Harding made her way around the tables of couple doing her best to match-make.

While the drinks and conversation were flowing, listeners paired up and got to know each other throughout the night for brief moments.

In a bid to find the man or woman of their dreams, the dating game proved harsh at times with a handful of contestants opting to hop off the joy ride and instead mingle with friends, while others made plans to meet up after the experiment and see where the night would take them.

Meanwhile Jase & PJ’s stablemates, the national KIIS FM’s Drive team, Will & Woody, attempted to match-make nation-wide on Valentine’s Day with their Socks Out If You’re Single campaign, asking listeners across Australia to hang a sock out their car window in an attempt to find a partner.
