Khalid at Nova’s Red Room

Nineteen-year-old singer and songwriter Khalid has had a breakthrough year.

Since releasing his chart-topping debut album ‘American Teen’ in March, and hailing from El Paso, Texas, Khalid brought his euphoric blend of nostalgia and dance beats together at Nova’s Red Room at The Bucket List in Bondi on Monday night.

An intimate audience saw the  singer perform songs off his debut album, including Saved, Coaster, Cold Blooded, Location and Young, Dumb & Broke.

Hosted by Nova’s Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small (pictured left) from Smallzy’s Surgery, the event was attended by Nova winners, singer Ruel (14-year-old protege of Australian producer M-Phazes), television presenter Scott Tweedie, the Bachelor’s Elora and ‘influencers’ Jacko Brazier and Gab Scanu (pictured below).
