Whatever happened to Ken Sparkes? Sparkes, whose voice is well known on Channel 9 and 2UE, is now based in Shanghai doing voice overs from his new house, complete with broadcast studios, and producing television documentaries.

He has been busy kept busy with voice overs and is also shooting a new television show on the culture, the people and the nightlife of Shanghai.

Sparkes will be back in Australia at Christmas in talks with networks about his documentary and some new digital radio projects.

The picture shows Sparkes at the BUND looking across at Pudong following a seven hour film shoot with his non english speaking film crew.

Sparkes has told radioinfo it was difficult at first with the film crew, but after 7 hours and some new technical terms only Ken could invent, the communication barrier was broken and then it was lights, camera and action.
