K rock has started the search for the hottest local act to perform on the K rock B.I.G Sessions stage at Little Creature’s inaugural Born In Geelong Festival on October 26.
Hosted by Tom Lewis and Lauren 'Loggy' Temuskos of Fresh Daily, the winning band will be the 5th act to join an epic local line-up that includes Ten High Fly, Gonzo, Nathan Seeckts and Famous Will.
Tom and Loggy said they were looking forward to launching the B.I.G Sessions concept, “Geelong bats above its weight in so many areas and the world of music is no exception." said Tom.
An excited Loggy agreed, "We’re just your standard Furphy beer-loving kind of people who are super excited to give some of Geelong’s finest acts the chance to share the bill with industry heavyweights like Allday, Ball Park Music and British India.”
K rock Content Director, Dan Hill, said K rock have been a big supporter of local acts over the years so it made sense for the broadcaster to play a part in the B.I.G Festival and the search for Geelong’s next upcoming artist.
“K rock was also born in Geelong, so to finally have a local festival showcasing some of the regions finest musicians is a testament to the quality of artists coming out of Geelong. We look forward to partnering with Little Creatures and providing some A-Class entertainment on the K rock B.I.G Sessions stage.”
