John Caldwell’s sensational claims agains KIIS

John Caldwell, recently sacked from KIIS FM, has levelled a number of sensational claims against the network, including that he was bullied so badly he contemplated ending his life.

A representative for the ex-Celeb HQ host says legal action in the Fair Work Commission has been filed against the operator of KIIS FM, ARN,  for “bullying, permitting a homophobic culture, discrimination due to him being gay and for his sacking.”

The former presenter was given his marching orders just after the ACRAs following an alleged complaint from another staff member about an unspecified incident.

Caldwell alleges that he suffered a verbal attack by an ARN staffer that night, and despite taking a complaint to management, no action was taken apart from his dismissal.

A statement from ARN says:

“ARN are not aware of any proceedings commenced against KIIS FM or ARN by John Caldwell and will rigorously defend any claims if they commence.

“John Caldwell’s contract was ended in October. Due to privacy reasons we don’t comment on individual contracts however John was given the reasons for his contract ending.

“ARN prides itself on its passionate work in the area of diversity and inclusion, particularly with LGBTQI initiatives and the broader community.”
