Jess Bennett from 107.7 Sea FM has come out fighting this morrning, angry at constant trolling on social media.

Speaking on Lee and Jess for Breakfast the former Promotions Manager for LAFM & Chilli FM said, “If you haven’t got anything nice to say then just step away from your keyboard”.

Jess was referring to posts on the station’s Facebook page including one about a Mother whose clothes dryer caught on fire and wanted to warn others to keep their appliances up to date and lint filters clean.

The other, a story about a local model from North West Tasmania looking to make the finals of the Australian Supermodel search.

“I am so sick of coming into work and finding nasty, rude and unnecessary comments on stories that were otherwise positive or simply spreading awareness.

“Engagement, fantastic. That is a whole new means of communication…but it comes down to that old age rule, if you haven’t got anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all.”
