Jason Morrison hoping for selection in Liberal seat of Ku-ring-gai

Talk radio broadcaster and Gina Rinehart spin doctor Jason Morrison is waiting to hear if he will be selected by the Liberal Party to contest the NSW state seat of Ku-ring-gai.

The safe Liberal seat became vacant with the resignation of former NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell.

A pre-selection process is under way today.

Morrison is not a shoe-in for the seat, with the frontrunner thought to be corporate executive Carolyn Cameron, the Liberal’s conference president.

Also running for pre-selection are lawyer Alister Henskens SC anda range of other contenders including Matt Cross, Tony Chappel, the chief of staff to NSW Environment Minister Rob Stokes, and councillors David Citer and Grant Dyer.
