Jake Chapman leaves Rebel FM

After three years, one half of the Rebel FM Breakfast Show, Jake Chapman has decided to pursue other interests outside radio and is leaving the station.

General Manager, Cheryl Jowitt says “We’re sad to lose Jake.  He has enormous talent and is a great communicator. Over the past 15 years, we’ve only see three changes to our team, so this opens up an amazing opportunity for the Rebel brand. This is the perfect time to restructure the breakfast show, bring in new content and new people to the mix.”

While Jake is still working through to February, Rebel FM is looking for people interested in being part of the new line up and the successful applicant would need to be experienced, a great communicator, identify with the 35 plus age demographic and live and breathe the rock genre.

Cheryl says, ”Ash and Jake have raised thousands of dollars for local charities and organisations and have been actively involved in promoting issues surrounding men’s health issues. Rebel’s success in the market is based on its ‘realness’. We’re real people talking to people about real issues. We’re not shying away from tough subjects and that really resonates with our audience.”

The Rebel FM studios are based in Helensvale on the Gold Coast and is the local station in over 30 markets across regional Queensland and New South Wales.
