A reunion is planned for all ex-staffers of 106.9 in Ipswich Queensland. The station had the call signs of QFM, Mix106.9, and STAR over a brief 10 year history before being renamed and relaunched.

Any 4BH staffers who worked in the building at the time are also invited.

The reunion “will most likely be held, complete with Burgers and Lemonade’s in Brisbane on a Sunday in early June 2003 possibly at the Regatta or Caxton,” says organiser Jacko.

“For those of you that still have a good memory, I was Jacko the Sales Executive, Wannabee Announcer, station Goffa and then Promotions Manager for two and half years. All up 7 1/2 years at 106.9 but now sadly outta Radio.”
