Introducing Aussie music weekly

After over a decade on air, it was time for a change for the nationally syndicated (45 stations, twice weekly via the Community Radio Network) all Australian music radio show, HomeBrew Radio.

Aussie Music Weekly will commence in July 2016.

A new name, a new image, but the same strong support of new, local and independent

Australian music.

Aussie Music Weekly, like its predecessor, will continue to provide much needed exposure to Australian artists who do not gain mainstream airplay.

From rock to pop, blues to folk, hip hop to funk, so long as it’s Australian, there’s a good chance you’ll hear it on Aussie Music Weekly.

But it’s not just the music.

Aussie Music Weekly will bring listeners “In Focus” interviews with Australian artists, as well as tour and concert information, informing them as to what’s happening in the Australian music industry.

We’re also keen to explore the origins of Australian music and each week bring listeners the “Baktrak” segment, where a classic Aussie track from the past will be played.

In addition, a monthly “Artist Profile” segment (presented by Rufus OnFire, presenter of The Music Almanac on Triple H FM, Hornsby, NSW) will take a deeper look at Australian acts, both past and present.

Plus, a regular “Live Session” where artists come into the studio to perform (engineered by Paul McQueen from Songwriters Across Australia, previously heard on the Community Radio Network) and talk about their work will also be a fixture on the program.

Aussie Music Weekly commences in the first week of July, across the nation on the Community Radio Network.
