The info*radio network launches in Canberra

Following “an extended period of consultation and program testing,” a new radio station has begun operating in Canberra’s Tuggeranong Valley.

Focussed on providing a regional radio service, the info*radio network has “a unique position with a special relationship as an integral part of the local community that it serves.”

The info*radio network’s Norm Ashley said the station: “provides radio programming to a target audience in the 25 to 54 demographic age group. The format is based upon a mix of music and information. The music is described as adult contemporary, with a good mix of music from the 80’s, 90’s and today. Community support is a top priority at the info*radio network, and we are committed to provide a wide range of advisory and community information.”

Our service is designed to assist in promoting and actively stimulating the commercial business community in our coverage area. As well as providing employment and promotion of the region, our goal is to return a percentage of our profits back into the community to assist community services and common interest groups.

The info*radio network transmits on a frequency of FM 88.0 and currently covers Canberra’s Tuggeranong valley and the Monaro highway from Hume.
